The mega-storm hit the mega-city around 5 pm on a Tuesday. Then, no power, no water, no light at anyone's dispense who happens to live below 34 th street. Yes, there was power, but it came from little generators, just enough to deal with the water, also present, but unusable, filling basements, tunnels, streets. Concerning light; for the first time in maybe a hundred years, one could see the stars from downtown Manhattan. The usual rays of advertisement, streetlights and more advertisements didn't blast them from the sky.
